Dil Dhadakne Do box office collection: Priyanka Chopra - Ranveer Singh's family drama mints Rs 37.05 crore over the weekend!

The film has become one of the biggest openers of 2015

One of the most awaited films of this year - Dil Dhadakne Do starring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Shefali, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Rahul Bose hit screens on Friday. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the family drama created good buzz thanks to its star cast and its good looking trailer. Though the film received mixed response from critics, its doing quite well at the box office.

On the opening day, the multi-starrer made Rs 10. 53 crore. Ranveer-Priyanka's film has had a strong weekend so far. In three days the film has collected Rs 37.05 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the box office numbers of Zoya's film a while ago. He wrote, "#DilDhadakneDo has STRONG weekend. Fri 10.53 cr, Sat 12.27 cr, Sun 14.25 cr. Total: ₹ 37.05 cr. India biz. Weekdays [Mon-Thu] are crucial."

Trade pundits opine that the family drama will do well in metropolitan cities, especially the multiplex audiences since they can relate to Zoya's latest offering.
