Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl has taken a phenomenal start at the ticket windows by raking in Rs 10.05 crore on its first day at the ticket windows. Despite facing competition from Sushant Singh Rajput's Chhichhore, the film collected Rs 10.05 crore on its first day and with this figure, it emerged Ayushmann's biggest opener till of all-time. By looking at the current scenario, we are expecting the film to register the Rs 40 crore opening weekend at the ticket windows.
Dream Girl marks the directorial debut of writer Raaj Shaandilyaa and also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh and Annu Kapoor in key roles. It is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures. The music of the film is composed by Meet Bros and the lyrics are penned by Shabbir Ahmed and Kumaar.
Talking about the reviews, our critic Susri Sahu gave the film 3.5 stars and wrote, "Watch it for all the hysterical punches and Ayushmann Khurrana's dialoguebaazi. Not to mention, the crackling situational comedy all of the above, make the film." She praised Ayush and wrote, "With effortless comic timing and expressions we didn't think see coming, the actor delivers another knockout performance.
