Nishikant Kamat’s Drishyam starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and others hit theatres a few weeks back, but it refuses to fade away from the ticket windows. The thriller received a lukewarm opening at the box office on the first day, although it received mixed reviews. Because of the superb plot, the movie kept on growing on word-of-mouth publicity and is sailing through fabulously.
The latest we get to know is that the film has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark at the domestic box office. A while ago trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Drishyam [Week 3] Fri to Sun 4.50 cr, Mon to Thu 3.05 cr. Total: ₹ 71.72 cr. India biz.”
With many other releases going on since the last two weeks, the film maintains to intrigue audiences and draw them to the theatres.
