Thalaivar Rajinikanth is undoubtedly one of the most influential personalities in the entertainment industry. His swag and style makes him different from any other superstar and honestly, the way he enjoys the crazy fandom, we hardly see any other actor or actress enjoying that frenzy. Whenever one of his films releases, the atmosphere turns into a festive one in South India.
But unlike down south, Rajinikanth's fan-following is not that huge in the Central and the Northern markets. Talking about his films like Enthiran (Robot), Lingaa, Kabali and Kaala, which turned out to be box office spinners in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, they didn't even manage to cross the Rs 30 crore mark in their Hindi dubbed versions at the box office. But with his latest outing, 2.0, Rajinikanth will not only tap the Northern market but will also enter the Rs 100 crore club at the box office in its Hindi version alone. In fact, it has the potential to even cross the Rs 200 crore mark at the ticket windows.
However, the credit for the success of 2.0 doesn't belong solely to Rajinikanth, as most of the North Indian is sure to watch the film for the lead antagonist Akshay Kumar, who enjoys a great fan following in those circuits. The VFX and direction of 2.0 is already receiving applause from the audience and we are expecting the film to shatter the records of films like Race 3, Thugs of Hindostan, Baaghi 2 and Badhaai Ho in the coming days. Made on the budget of Rs 600 crore, it is produced under the banner of Lyca Productions and features Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in key roles. The music of the film is composed by Academy Award-winner AR Rahman, while the camera is handled by Nirav Shah.
