The latest installment of Fast and Furious has broken all the records at the Indian box office...
Furious 7 starring the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jason Statham and Ali Fazal has literally created hungama at the ticket windows. After witnessing an excellent opening, the action thriller went on to rake in Rs 12.30 crore on day 1 (Thursday) thus becoming the biggest opener of 2015 in India. Well, the film continued to fare well over the weekend and now its total collection at Indian box office stands at Rs 50.05 crore which is mighty impressive. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the updated figures a while back. He wrote on the popular social networking site Twitter, "#FastAndFurious7 sets new records! Thu to Sun - 50.05 cr. GBOC: Thu to Sun - 70 cr. India biz. FABULOUS."
While Paul Walker's last film is expected to do good business at the ticket windows in the coming days, Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! which released last Friday may have a tough time in pulling crowd to the cinema halls. Despite receiving great reviews from the critics, Dibakar Banerjee's directorial venture got off to a slow start and ended up earning Rs 14.06 crore at the domestic box office in tree days.
With stiff competition from Furious 7, only time will tell how well Sushant starrer fares at the box office!
