Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest production venture Gabbar Is Back starring Akshay Kumar, Shruti Haasan and Kareena Kapoor Khan has finally hit the theatres today. And guess what, the film has witnessed a good opening. In fact, according to trade portal Boxofficeindia, Akki's film has had the best opening so far this year as far as Hindi releases are concerned. In that case, it seems this year is indeed going to belong to Twinkle Khanna's hubby dearest. Boxofficeindia reported, "Gabbar Is Back is had a very good start at some places and was decent in other places. Overall the opening was good at around 40-45 %. It is the best opening for a Hindi film this year but that is not saying much as hardly any films have opened. The occupancies are less than Fast & Furious 7 and The Avengers - Age Of Ultron but has more screens than those films." The website further stated, "It is the best start for an Akshay Kumar starrers in a long time. Much better than films like Entertainment, Baby and Holiday though the last named film picked up rapidly from late afternoon."
