The movie has seen a dip in the collection on the first Monday...
Abhay Deol and Diana Penty's Happy Bhag Jayegi released last Friday and while the film is a good watch, it didn't have a huge buzz before the release. And so, Happy Bhag Jayegi saw a slow start but it grew over the weekend and has now established a base. On Friday (day 1), it collected Rs 2.32 crore, followed by Rs 3.81 crore and Rs 4.58 crore on Saturday (day 2) and Sunday (day 3) respectively. It has witnessed a dip on the first Monday as it collected just Rs 1.62 crore on day 4 to take its overall tally to Rs 12.33 crore in 4 days.
As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed about
's detailed collections in his tweet, "#HappyBhagJayegi Fri 2.32 cr, Sat 3.81 cr, Sun 4.58 cr, Mon 1.62 cr. Total: ₹ 12.33 cr. India biz. STEADY!" As he mentions, even though the film has dipped, it is still steady as it has held on to a lot of shows and the audience. The occupancy has been fairly average and with Rustom still going strong, the occupancy will remain the same throughout this week. Though the film has received good feedback from the critics as well as the audience,
Happy Bhag Jayegi has been affected by Akshay Kumar's . Akki's film is still popular amongst the masses and so, Abhay Deol's film has been adversely affected. Now with Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor's Rustom releasing this week, A Flying Jatt Happy Bhag Jayegi might get affected further. The screen space and the audience will be divided and we don't think post this weekend, the film will survive.
