It won't be long before Farah Khan's directorial venture surpasses Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office...
Happy New Year starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah has collected Rs 193.44 crore at the domestic box office so far. The film which released during Diwali has fared well not only in India but overseas too. After raking in Rs 108.86 crore in the opening weekend, the musical extravaganza went on to become the fastest film to enter the Rs 100 crore club. HNY is also one of the biggest grossing films in the international markets. After doing great business in the first week, Farah's film managed to mint money even in its second week.
On Monday (day 11) Shah Rukh-Deepika starrer collected Rs 3.31 crore, on Tuesday (day 12) Rs 4.06 crore, on Wednesday (day 13) Rs 2.76 crore and on Thursday (day 14) Rs 3.51 crore thus bringing its total domestic box office collection to Rs 193.44 crore. Now that's a mighty figure, hai na?
