The film saw a drastic fall and couldn't get over it...
The Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty-starrer, Hero had a steady run in its first week but the film crashed at the box office on the second weekend. The film received mixed reviews from critics and the poor public review meant that the film could not capitalise on the buzz surrounding the film. Hero collected 2.40 cr on Thursday, however the film's business crashed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it collected only Rs 1.56 crore over the second weekend which is lower than the collection on Thursday. The overall collection after the second weekend stands at Rs 32.43 crore.
As Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reveals in his tweet, "#Hero crashes. Registers a drastic fall. Week 2: Fri 45 lacs, Sat 51 lacs, Sun 60 lacs. Total: Rs 32.43 cr. India biz."
It seems that Katti Batti and Welcome Back have eaten into Hero's business as the film could not register a good occupancy over the second weekend. The weak story line and too many songs are the reason why people are avoiding this Salman Khan Films' venture. However, we must mention that the film has done good considering the fact it features two newcomers. But the sudden crash is shocking. Meanwhile, Welcome Back continued its steady run at the box office collecting Rs. 94.87 crore after its third weekend.
