Despite Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 dominating the box office, Rani Mukerji's Hichki managed to survive well in its second week at the ticket windows. The school drama raked in Rs 90 lakhs yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 38.40 crore. The film will cross Rs 40 crore mark by the end of its third weekend at the box office.
Apart from the domestic market, the film performed decently well in the international markets as well. Overwhelmed with the response, Rani said, "It feels lovely, just the fact that there are so many people who make me feel so belonged to their family. For me there is nothing more precious than this... The love of my audiences and the blessings of all the elders." She further added, "Also the young fans who have probably not seen my work in the last four years, just for them to go to the cinema halls and watch it, I think it's a really nice thing."
Rani also said that now she will not a huge break and will come back soon on the silver screen. "I will be doing more films because that is something I always love doing. But there was a gap for four years because of my marriage and baby. I wanted to see if the audience would be interested to see me onscreen. Now that I know, people are more than happy to see me onscreen, even I am ready. There are projects that I kept on hold before the release of 'Hichki' will see the light of the day."
