Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar starrer Hindi Medium is setting new benchmarks at the worldwide box office. After becoming a surprise hit at the domestic market, the film is doing a phenomenal business in China. The film currently stands with the grand total of Rs 308.70 crore and with this business, it has beaten the global business of Ajay Devgn's Golmaal Again, which is Rs 308.20 crore.
A quirky social comment on the education system, Hindi Medium is directed by Saket Chaudhary. It also features Pakistani actress Saba Qamar in a lead role. Earlier in a statement, producer of Hindi Medium, Bhushan Kumar said, “There’s a unique twist in this tale. ‘Hindi Medium’ is content-driven and even though Irrfan is an internationally recognised talent, the Chinese distribution body opted for our teaser concept which shows the feet of a man, one representing poverty and the other representing material wealth.”
