After having a dull opening day, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra's Jabariya Jodi failed to show a good jump on its second day at the box office. As per the early estimates, the romantic comedy raked in around Rs 4 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 7.15 crore. Looking at the current scenario, we are expecting the film to collect around Rs 11 crore in its opening weekend, which will make it a forgettable affair at the box office.
Since there is a holiday on Monday of Bakri, it will have an advantage of that but since the film has failed to impress the audience, it seems Jabariya Jodi will end its opening around Rs 20 crore. Directed by Prashant Singh, the film also stars Aparshaki Khuaran and Jaaved Jaaferi in key roles.
Talking about the reviews, our critic Susri Sahu, gave the film 2.5 stars and wrote, "Watch it for Sid and Pari's dialoguebaazi and earnest effort. But otherwise, you will not miss out on much." She also praised the performances of the cast and wrote, "Sidharth steps into the role of Bihar ka goonda and pulls it off convincingly. Be it his flair in multi-coloured shirts and gamchas or the delivery with which he throws witty one-liners, Sid's first rustic act deserves a pat. Even Parineeti does justice to her character with pitch-perfect diction and makes it seem effortless. SidNeeti’s chemistry is a treat to watch too. Slow claps are reserved for Aparshakti Khurana and Sanjay Mishra who light up the screen with their comic timing and punches." Anyway, are you planning to watch the film? Tweet to us @bollywood_life.
