The South megastar recently admitted that he’s penning a script for the English Vinglish star
Looks like history is all set to repeat itself! For all Kamal Haasan and Sridevi fans who really loved their favourite actors’ impeccable chemistry in the 1983 cult movie Sadma, here’s some really big news! After three decades, the Vishwaroopam star has admitted that he’s writing a film script for Sri because he always wanted to work with her again and was looking for the right script. Yay!!! After successfully releasing his mega venture Vishwaroopam, Kamal has started working on two new interesting (do we need to say that!) projects – Vishwaroopam 2, which he intends to release this year itself, and Moo. The multi-talented actor is simultaneously working on a script for his former female co-star as well. The duo appeared together last in the 1982 blockbuster Tamil film Moondram Pirai, which was a year later remade as Sadma in Hindi. Later, several filmmakers from South and Hindi cinema attempted to cast the magical duo together but didn’t succeed. But if you think Haasan is writing Sadma 2 then you’re wrong, as the actor had already denied it point blank in an interview, “There were talks about making part two of Sadma but I don’t think I would fit into the hero’s role anymore. Moreover, a tragedy is best left at that.” Also Read - Happy birthday Vijay: Before Thalapathy 66, Master, Bigil and Mersal, THIS was the superstar's first blockbuster that gave him his sobriquet
We are eagerly waiting for the two superstars to get back together and recreate the same magic on screen after almost three decades. Considering the movie is being penned by none other than Kamal himself, we know the duo will create a new benchmark with their new project. Agree, BollywoodLifers?
