The Abbas-Mustan directorial hit screens last Friday on September 25
Kapil Sharma has already proved that he is not just the King of Comedy, but also that he's no less a star than any A-Lister in the industry. His debut film, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon opened to a very warm response on day 1 bringing in a total of Rs 10.15 crore at the domestic box office leaving behind Deepika Padukone's Piku and Varun Dhawan's Badlapur. And the film maintained its strong run over the following two days bringing the total collection of the film to Rs 28.81 on its opening weekend. With this, the film has once again beaten Piku and Badlapur which earned Rs 25.22 crore and Rs 24 crore respectively.
Trade analyst and expert Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures on his Twitter handle saying, "#KisKiskoPyaarKaroon packs a SOLID punch, raking ₹ 28.81 cr in its opng wknd in India. The film held consistently well on all 3 days. SUPER!"
With the growing word of mouth, the film is expected to have a decent BO performance through the week as well. However, with Akshay Kumar's comic caper, Singh Is Bliing releasing this week, the film is going to face some serious competition. Whether Kapil's sense of humour manages to outsmart Akshay's star-power, is yet to be seen.
