Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's Maharshi continues its golden run at the box office. The political drama is shattering records at the ticket windows and has now crossed the Rs 20 crore mark in the Nizam market. In fact, it has become the fastest entrant to Rs 20 crore club in this market and crushed Prabhas and Rana Daggubati's Baahubali 2 to achieve this milestone. The film has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the global box office and going by the current scenario, we are expecting the film to soon enter the Rs 200 crore club.
Talking about this political drama, it is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and also stars Allari Naresh in a key role. The first schedule of the film was shot in Dehradun, which was shown in the teaser. Maharshi is being jointly produced by Dil Raju, Aswini Dutt and PVP Pictures. Despite getting a huge thumbs up from the cinegoers, the film has received mixed reviews from the critics.
Our critic Gautham Pattikonda, gave the film two stars and wrote, "Mahesh Babu's Maharshi is like a sunny side up and it is tough to decide which side is better. With all the hype the film had ahead of release, fans would certainly find it disappointing."
