Bang Bang debacle, a lot was expected from Hrithik Roshan period love drama - Mohenjo Daro. Everyone thought Hrithik would bounce back with this film, however the movie saw a very disappointing start at the box office. The film opened with a collection of Rs 8.87 crore on day one (Friday), followed by Rs 9.60 crore on day two (Saturday) and Rs 12.07 crore on day three (Sunday) to end the weekend with a collection of Rs 30.54 crore. With Monday being a holiday (Independence Day), everyone expected to grow, however it failed to do so. Mohenjo Daro
As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed in his tweet, "#MohenjoDaro Fri 8.87 cr, Sat 9.60 cr, Sun 12.07 cr, Mon 10.36 cr. Total: Rs 40.90 cr. India biz. #MohenjoDaro did not get the required boost on Mon [Independence Day]... Although the 4-day total is decent, it should've been much higher."
got mixed reviews from both the critics as well as the public but with the film clashing with Akshay Kumar's Mohenjo Daro Rustom, the audience got divided. In fact, the people preferred Rustom over Mohenjo Daro and hence, we see the former collecting Rs 50.42 crore in just 3 days while the latter continues to struggle.
