Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz, Athiya Shetty and Anil Kapoor's Mubarakan continued its magical run at the box office on the second Monday. The movie remained strong, raking in Rs 2.85 crore on day eleven to take its overall box office tally to Rs 44.59 crore. But the best part is that the film just saw a minute drop of 5.94 per cent on the second Monday, which is applaudable to say the least. Talking about the detailed breakdown of the collections, trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on Twitter, "#Mubarakan stays strong on Monday. Drops 5.94%... (Week 2) Fri Rs 1.05 crore, Sat Rs 2 crore, Sun Rs 3.03 crore, Mon Rs 2.85 crore. Total: Rs 44.59 crore. India biz."
Mubarakan was one of the highly anticipated films of the year and the movie has sustained very well courtesy the fantastic word of mouth publicity that the film received. Even though it started off slowly, Mubarakan grew fantastically and has maintained a strong hold at the box office ever since. The hilarious comedy, Arjun Kapoor's double role and the story impressed one and all. The critics as well as the public gave it a thumbs up and several even went to see the movie twice or thrice. The release of Jab Harry Met Sejal has also not been able to deter the movie. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's film could not impress the audience and hence, Mubarakan has kept raking in the moolah. In fact, JHMS dipped by nearly 50 per cent, while Mubarakan just saw a 6 per cent drop on Monday. Quite clearly, after everyone realised that SRK's film was not up to the mark, several people went to see Arjun Kapoor's comic caper for the second time.
