After a decent start and a fantastic first weekend at the box office; Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D'cruz and Athiya Shetty's Mubarkan has continued to remain strong throughout the first week. The movie raked in another Rs 3 crore on day six to take its overall box office tally to Rs 32.91 crore. Talking about the detailed breakdown of collections, trade analyst Taran Adarsh mentioned on Twitter, "#Mubarakan Fri Rs 5.16 crore, Sat Rs 7.38 crore, Sun Rs 10.37 crore, Mon Rs 3.55 crore, Tue Rs 3.45 crore, Wed Rs 3 crore. Total: Rs 32.91 crore. India biz."
We always knew Mubarakan was going to perform well at the box office. The movie had a great story line, a lot of humour, a good pre-release buzz and a considerable screen space, so it was bound to open well. And once it released, people loved Arjun Kapoor's double role as well as the humour and execution of the film. With it receiving such a good word of mouth publicity, from both the critics as well as the audience, it has remained solid post the first Monday. We expect Mubarakan to continue raking in the moolah and end up with a lifetime collection of Rs 50 - 60 crore at the box office. Made on a moderate budget, we expect Mubarakan to post a decent profit by the end of its run at the domestic box office. However, with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's Jab Harry Met Sejal releasing this Friday (August 04), we expect Mubarakan to see a slight dip in collections.
