Nayanthara's Kolamaavu Kokila enjoys a great opening weekend at the overseas box office

Nayanthara's latest release Kolamaavu Kokila has turned out to be a huge box office winner not only at the domestic market but also in the international circuits. The black comedy which has dominated at the Tamil Nadu ticket windows has performed phenomenally well in the markets of USA, Canada, UK, Australia and Malaysia. Kolamaavu Kokila has earned around Rs 1.80 from these places. These collections are indeed huge considering a female oriented film.

Apart from being a money spinner, the film has impressed biggies like Rajinikanth, Shankar Shanmugham and Karan Johar. Director of the film Nelson Dilipkumar recently got a surprise call from Rajinikanth and was surprised as well as proud post his appreciation.

Talking about Kolamaavu Kokila, the film is loosely based on Hollywood flick We're the Millers. The film also stars Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan, Jacqueline in pivotal roles.
