Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu starrer October enjoyed a decent opening week at the box office. The film earned Rs 30.24 crore in its first seven days of release. Though the collections are not compared to other films of Varun Dhawan but considering to its genre and niche appeal, we must say the film has received a fair response at the ticket windows. October has now become the sixth highest opening week of 2018. It has beaten the first week collections of films like Hichki, Pari, Hate Story IV and 1921.
Here's the list of 2018's highest opening week grossers:
Padmaavat: 166.50 crore
Baaghi 2: 112.85 crore
Raid: Rs 63.05 crore
Pad Man: Rs 62.87 crore
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety: Rs 45.94 crore
October: Rs 30.24 crore
Two new releases, Beyond the Clouds and Nanu Ki Janu have released today. Since both the films didn't have any buzz, we are expecting October to dominate the box office. October is a very special film for Varun and he has said this many times during the promotion. During the screening on its opening day, the actor said, “October comes from an extremely special place from my heart because as my career forwarded, I just felt that I started becoming more selfish and I wanted to do a selfless character like Dan.” Anyway, did you guys liked the film?
