Anushka Sharma's Pari has grabbed all the attention in recent times for all the right reasons. The marketing strategy of promoting the film through screamers seems to have worked well for the makers. We all know if executed properly, horror films register good collection at the ticket windows and Pari might become an example of that. Despite being made on a moderate budget, the VFX of the film looks impressive and manages to give you goosebumps in almost every frame.
As per trade magazine, Super Cinema, the horror film is expected to rake around Rs 6 to 6.50 crore. The numbers might go higher as this Friday is a national holiday due to Holi. Compared to Anushka's previous solo releases like NH10 and Phillauri, Pari might get more screens. Since the film is primarily targeted towards multiplexes in metros, it might earn good numbers, as the ticket rates in multiplexes is quite high.
Talking about Pari, the film also stars Parambrata Chatterjee in a key role. The film marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Prosit Roy and will clash with Jimmy Sheirgill and Kriti Kharbanda starrer Veere Ki Wedding at the box office. The film is co-produced by Prernaa Arora and Arjun Kapoor under the banner of KriArj entertainment. Post Pari, Anushka Sharma is lined up with two interesting projects, with one being Sui-Dhaaga: Made In India opposite Varun Dhawan, which is scheduled to release during Gandhi Jayanti weekend, the second is Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero, which will hit the screens on December 21 during the Christmas weekend.
