Vishal Bhardwaj's directorial venture Pataakha which clashed with Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's Sui Dhaaga: Made In India at the box office, has managed to attract its target audience thanks to its quirky and impressive content. After earning Rs 90 lakhs on its first day, the film showed growth over 50 per cent and collected Rs 1.40 crore yesterday. It now stands with the grand total of Rs 2.30 crore. Looking at the current scenario, Pataakha should rake in around Rs 5 crore in its opening weekend. The film also has the advantage of October 2 (Tuesday) a National holiday, which will definitely boost its collections at the ticket windows.
Pataakha is based on Charan Singh Pathik s short story Do Behenein. It is produced by Dheeraj Wadhawan, Ajay Kapoor, Rekha Bhardwaj and Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Namit Das and Vijay Raaz in key roles.
The film has received rave reviews from the cinegoers. Our critic Dishya Sharma, who loved the film gave four stars and wrote, "Pataakha is a firecracker that leaves behind a trail of power-packed performances. Make sure you book this ticket right away.". So are you planning to watch the film? Tweet to us...
