Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha has ended its opening on an average note at the ticket windows. The film, which ended on a low note gained the momentum over the weekend but again witnessed a huge dip in the weekdays. It currently stands with the grand total of Rs 7.64. So, looking at the overall scenario, the film will earn around Rs 10 crore in its theatrical run, thus making it an average affair at the box office.
The collections of the film could have been, if it wouldn't had clashed with Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's Sui Dhaaga: Made In India at the box office. But Vishal Bhardwaj always prefers to release his films during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend and Haider and Talvar are classic examples of that.
Pataakha is based on Charan Singh Pathik's short story Do Behenein. It is produced by Dheeraj Wadhawan, Ajay Kapoor, Rekha Bhardwaj and Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Namit Das and Vijay Raaz in key roles. The second weekend is crucial for the film, as it will decide, whether it'll get screens in the coming days or not. Anyway, do you think it the best of Vishal Bhardwaj till date? Tweet to us...
