Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi has enjoyed a great second week at the box office. Despite Deadpool 2 and other holdover releases, the period spy thriller has remained rock-steady at the ticket windows. Raazi raked in Rs 3.15 crore yesterday and now stands with the total collections of Rs 91.63 crore. The film will enter the Rs 100 crore club by the end of its third weekend at the box office.
After 2 States and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Raazi will be Alia Bhatt's third film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. Interestingly all three films are produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Raazi is currently the fifth highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat, Baaghi 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Raid. It will soon surpass Ajay Devgn's Raid to grab the fourth spot in the list.
Apart from Meghna Gulzar’s gripping narrative and direction, the audience have also praised the performances of Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, the film also stars Shishir Sharma, Soni Razdan, Rajit Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Amruta Khanvilkar in pivotal roles. It is produced under the banners of Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures. The story of Raazi revolves around a young Kashmiri girl who gets married to a Pakistani Army officer and becomes a spy to give inside information about the neighbouring country to protect her own.
