Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi is refusing to slow down at the box office. The period spy-thriller is proving to be a dark horse at the ticket windows. In fact, the Wednesday collections are higher than Monday and Tuesday, which itself shows that how Raazi has impressed the audience. The film collected Rs 1.92 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 108.04 crore. It will cross Rs 110 crore mark today in the domestic market.
Raazi is currently Alia Bhatt's second highest grosser of all time after Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Rs 116.68 crore) and is soon expected to surpass it to grab the top position. It is marginally behind Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 108.46 crore) and will cross today to become 2018's third highest grosser after Padmaavat and Baaghi 2.
Based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, the film also stars Shishir Sharma, Soni Razdan, Rajit Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Amruta Khanvilkar in pivotal roles. It is produced under the banners of Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures. The story of Raazi revolves around a young Kashmiri girl who gets married to a Pakistani Army officer and becomes a spy to give inside information about the neighbouring country to protect her own. Raazi is directed by Meghna Gulzar, who previously helmed films like Filhaal, Just Married and Talvar.
