Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi is enjoying a healthy-run at the box office. After enjoying a great weekend, the film is remaining rock-steady in the weekdays. It raked in Rs 5.90 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 51.24 crore.
Based on Harinder Sikka's book Calling Sehmat, the story of the film Raazi revolves around a young Kashmiri girl who gets married to a Pakistani Army officer and becomes a spy to give inside information about the neighbouring country to protect her own. The film marks the first time that Alia has shared screen space with her mother Soni Razdan. Talking about working with her mother, Alia said, "I don't get enough time to spend with my mother. It gets really difficult for me to take out time for her and I feel really bad about that. With 'Raazi', I have managed to get to spend eight days straight with her because I was working with her and she is playing the role of my mother in the film as well.
Alia also said that she was nervous for her mother in the film. "I was actually nervous for my mother and hoping that she has memorised her lines well. I wanted her to be superb. But I forgot that my mother has way more experience with films than me. I am just like her. Me and my mother were often told that we look like twins because we have a similar way of talking."Anyway, do you think Alia Bhatt will sweep away all the awards for her extraordinary performance in Raazi?
