Director Amar Kaushik's Stree continues its dominance over new releases at the box office. Despite entering in its fourth week with a very limited amount of screens, the horror-comedy remains to be the first choice for the movie buffs. Stree raked in Rs 87 lakhs yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 121.80 crore at the box office.
The humongous business of the film has surprised everyone and has opened the market for horror-comedies at the box office. It has already beaten biggies like Raid, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Veere Di Wedding, Gold and Satyameva Jayate. It is currently the sixth highest grosser of the year after Sanju, Padmaavat, Race 3, Baaghi 2 and Raazi.
Talking about the film, Stree is written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K, who are known for helming films Go Goa Gone, Happy Ending and Shor In The City. It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles. Anyway, do you think it has the potential to beat the lifetime business of Alia Bhatt's Raazi?
