Mega Power star's Dussehra treat seems to be roaring at box office, surpassing Aagadu and Rabhasa's opening week collections
Tollywood star Ram Charan Teja is on cloud nine thanks to the overwhelming response garnered by his family entertainer Govindudu Andarivadele. Despite mixed reviews, Krishna Vamsi's directorial has managed to rake in Rs 19.9 crore within the first four days of its release. The film starring Ram Charan, Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Kamalinee Mukherjee has managed to floor the audience with it's simple yet effective family drama.
GAV set the cash registers ringing on the opening day collecting Rs 8.55 crore at the box office. Though the film saw a dip in business on the second day, it quickly recovered and did phenomenal business thanks to positive word of mouth publicity. According to the trade experts, going by the first week box office collections, Ram Charan's GAV has beaten Mahesh Babu's Aagadu and Jr NTR's Rabhasa, which had amassed ₹19.25 crore and ₹18.17 crore, respectively.
The film is expected to continue roaring at the box office since there is no big release till October 17 (Naga Chaitanya's Okka Laila Kosam) to challenge Cherry's dominance at box office. Looks like Ram Charan-Kajal Aggarwal jodi have scored a hat-trick of hits together with the success of GAV.
