With the latest announcements from filmmakers of their upcoming big-ticket releases, we have suddenly seen 2020 turning out to be an exciting year for the cinegoers. Big films like Lal Singh Chaddha, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, Inshallah, Sooryavanshi, '83, Tanhaji and Takht are enough to prove that the next year will be bigger and grander. But it's a part of the box office, as yet again we will see two big films locking horns at the ticket windows and capitalising completely on the festive weekend. But as we told you earlier, like the films even the clashes will be huge in 2020. You'll be surprised to know that Rs 1200 crore is riding on the clashes of the next year and here we show you the break-up of it...
Chhapaak Vs Tanhaji - January 10 (Rs 200 crore)
In the last week, the makers of Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero and Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak revealed the release dates of their films, which was January 10. While Tanhaji, which is one of the most ambitious projects of Ajay, will be mounted on the budget of Rs 150 crore, Chhapaak, which is based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, will be made on around Rs 50 crore.
Inshallah Vs Sooryavanshi - Eid (Rs 250 crore)
Touted to be one of the biggest clashes, Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Inshallah will battle with Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi at the ticket windows. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali's love story drama is expected to be made on the budget of Rs 150 crore, Rohit Shetty's cop-actioner will be mounted around Rs 100 crore.
RRR Vs Shamshera - July 30 (Rs 500 crore)
Well, this is the clash that we wish doesn't happen at all as Rs 500 crore is riding on these two mega-budget films. While Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor's Shamshera is in the making of around Rs 150 crore, the makers of Jr NTR and Ram Charan's RRR are spending Rs 350 crore on this period war drama, which also stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in key roles.
Krrish 4 Vs Untitled Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn-starrer - Christmas (Rs 250 crore)
2020 will end with a bang with Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 4 taking on Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn's untitled rom-com during the Christmas weekend. While the superhero venture will be made on the cost of Rs 175 crore, the cost of director Luv Ranjan's film will be around Rs 75 crore.
