Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 2 has finally hit the screens across the world today (May 18) and looks like it has taken a phenomenal start, especially at the Indian box office. In fact in the early morning shows, which took place in select multiplexes and single screens, the movie has managed to register 55 - 60 per cent occupancy across the country. Not only is this a fantastic opening, but according to us, once all the multiplexes and single screens open up, the footfalls and occupancy rate will go up. We might even see housefull shows by the end of the day!

Released in limited screen space of 1500 -2000 screens and with an A rating, Deadpool 2 won't open to an insane amount at the domestic box office. But Akshaye feels that the movie should rake in around about Rs 7 - 8 crore on day one and Rs 25 - 30 crore over the first weekend. In fact, the audience as well as the critics have been raving about the movie. With that, a tremendous word of mouth publicity will develop, which in turn will help the movie grow in terms of footfalls and collections at the box office.
