After witnessing a dip on Thursday, John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyameva Jayate witnessed a good jump yesterday at the box office. The masala action entertainer earned Rs 9.18 crore and currently stands with the grand total of Rs 37.62 crore. Due to the partial holiday of Parsi New Year yesterday, the film has shown good growth at the ticket windows. Satyameva Jayate is expected to cross the Rs 60 crore mark in its extended opening weekend of 5-days. The film is also the highest opener for a 'A' rated action film. This surely calls for a celebration. But, the actor who is currently shooting in Gulmarg for his next has decided against celebrating owing to the unforeseen floods in Kerala.
John says, " I am overwhelmed by all the adulation from the paisa paying public as well as the industry at large. Everyone is asking me when are we celebrating but, for me it’s business as usual as I’m shooting in Gulmarg for my next film. In any case I am devastated by the unprecedented situation in Kerala. I have family there and although they are safe so many others are still suffering."
Satyameva Jayate is an edgy thriller which is produced under the banner of Emmay Entertainment. The film also features Aisha Sharma and Amruta Khanvilkar in key roles. It marks the directorial debut of writer Milap Milan Zaveri. Anyway, have you liked the film? Tweet to us @Bollywood_Life
