Director Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has turned out to be the first surprise hit of 2018. Despite new releases, the film remained super-strong at the box office. In just 10 days, the film raked in Rs 65.34 crore and with these collections, it has beaten the lifetime business of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (Rs 64.10 crore) to become Kartik Aaryan's highest grosser of all time. In fact, it has also become the biggest hit of Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar apart from director Luv Ranjan.
By looking at the current performance of the film, we are expecting the film to earn around Rs 75 crore mark by the end of its third week. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series along with Ankur Garg. The urban romantic comedy also features Alok Nath, Virendra Saxena and Ishita Raj Sharma in pivotal roles. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety marks the fourth time collaboration between director Luv Ranjan and actors Kartik Aryan and Nushrat Bharucha after Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.
As new releases like Hate Story IV, 3 Storeys and Baa Baa Black Sheep are arriving this Friday, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will face a huge screen crunch at the box office. Despite not starring any A-List actors, the urban romantic comedy turned to be a huge box office success for its makers. Anyway, do you think Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will enter the Rs 100 crore club at the ticket window? Share your thoughts in the comment section below...
