Director Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety continues to dominate the box office in its second week. Despite the release of Anushka Sharma's Pari, the urban romantic comedy remained rock-steady at the ticket window. The film collected Rs 2.49 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 75.71 crore.
Featuring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar, the film has become the highest grosser of its lead actors along with director Luv Ranjan. The film is co-produced by Krishan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-Series along with Ankur Garg and also stars Alok Nath, Virendra Saxena and Ishita Raj Sharma in pivotal roles. Looking at the current trend we are expecting the film to cross the lifetime business of Akshay Kumar's Pad Man (Rs 80 crore) and become the second highest grosser of 2018 after Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety marks the fourth collaboration between director Luv Ranjan and actors Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha after Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. Since four Bollywood films Hate Stort IV, 3 Storeys, Dil Junglee and Baa Baa Blacksheep have released today, the comedy film will face a huge screen crunch at the box office. Anyway, do you think the film will enter the Rs 100 crore club at the ticket window? Share your thoughts in the comment section below...
