Director Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is refusing to slow down at the box office. Despite facing competition from new releases like Hichki and Raid, the romantic comedy has managed to survive well in its fourth week at the ticket window. The film raked in Rs 47 lakhs yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 105.35 crore.
The film has turned out to be a huge surprise hit and has even beaten the lifetime business of Bollywood biggies like Akshay Kumar's Pad Man and Ajay Devgn's Raid. Featuring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar, the film is produced under the banners of T-Series and Luv Films. Kartik thanked film’s director for the grand success and said, “Luv Ranjan stood by me through all these years. It takes a lot of guts to stand by someone you believe in when that someone is not a big star. He very clearly told producers it’s me and Nushrat Bharucha and no one else. I wonder where I’d have been in this lonely city without someone to believe in my talent. Not that he would have ever given up. “I believed in myself. You have to believe in yourself only then can you expect others to believe in you.”
Apart from the lead actress cast, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety also stars Alok Nath, Virendra Saxena and Ishita Raj Sharma in pivotal roles. Since Baaghi 2 is arriving this Friday, we expect Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety end its theatrical run at the box office. Anyway, have you guys like the film?
