Director Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has ended its opening weekend on a victorious note. After showing good growth over the weekend, the urban romantic comedy remained rock-steady over the weekdays. The film collected Rs 4.86 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 45.94 crore.
Looking at the current trend, we are expecting the film to cross Rs 50 crore mark by tomorrow at the ticket window. Despite not starring any A-List actors, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety turned to be a huge box office success for its makers. Featuring Kartik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar in pivotal roles, the film is produced by Krishan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-Series along with Ankur Garg. Apart from the domestic market, the film has also performed decently well in the international markets.
Since Anushka Sharma's Pari and Jimmy Sheirgill and Kriti Kharbanda starrer Veere Ki Wedding have released today, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will face a huge screen crunch at the box office. The film also stars Alok Nath, Virendra Saxena and Ishita Raj Sharma in pivotal roles. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety marks the fourth time collaboration between director Luv Ranjan and actors Kartik Aryan and Nushrat Bharucha after Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. Anyway, do you think the comedy film will surpass the lifetime business of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 to become the highest grosser of its lead actors and director?
