Apart from performing phenomenally well in the domestic market, director Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has managed to earn well at the overseas box office too. The urban romantic comedy has collected Rs 4.74 crore in its opening weekend in the international markets. The numbers are really good, since the film doesn't have any huge stars.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has performed well in the circuits of USA - Canada and UAE - GCC, in fact, it has also managed to earn good numbers in Pakistan. Coming to the domestic market, the film has crossed Rs 30 crore mark in just four days. Being made on a controlled budget, the film will soon turn out to be a success at the box office. While the film has received mixed reviews from the critics, it has managed to impress the audience with its bang on comic timing and hilarious content.
Featuring Kartik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in lead roles, the film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banners of T-Series along with Ankur Garg. Our critic Rajat Tripathi gave the film two stars and said, “It has plenty of laughs in the first half but suffers from the curse of the second half. If you swear by Luv Ranjan’s brand of comedy – Pyaar Ka Punchnama series – you will have a good time watching Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.” Anyway, do you think Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office?
