After showing substantial growth in its second weekend, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's film witnessed a huge dip on its second Monday due to Bharat Bandh. Despite facing this obstacle the horror-comedy has managed to continue its steady pace and raked in Rs 3.31 crore at the ticket windows. Stree now stands with the grand total of Rs 85.60 crore and is expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club in its third weekend.
Despite loving the film, audience didn't like the climax of it. In an exclusive chat with the producer of Stree, Dinesh Vijan answered this question and said, "It teases them, a little bit. The whole idea is that of a franchise. It's setting up the second part. The sequel will answer all the questions. I understand the grouse, but it was intentional. We will make it up to you in the second one. Generally what happens in India is when a film works, you plan a sequel or a prequel. This was set up as that! I am happy that there is a bit of a grouse there because it's intentional. You will come back to see if everything is answered correctly. The idea is to leave questions in your mind."
Well, with this quote, we are quite excited about the sequel of Stree. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also features Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles. Anyway, do you think Stree will beat Ek Villain to become Shraddha's biggest hit of all time? Tweet to us to let us know...
