After a splendid weekend at box office, there has been a drop in collections
It is no doubt that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are one of the most exciting onscreen jodis of B-town.
After Bachna Ae Hasseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir and Deepika have come together for Imitaz Ali's Tamasha, which hit the screens last Friday. Despite mixed reviews, Tamasha went on to clock Rs 38.23 crore over the weekend. After a great weekend, all eyes were on Ranbir-Deepika's Tamasha as to how the film will perform on Monday. And as expected there was a considerable drop in the box office collections.
After raking Rs 14.12 crore on Sunday, Ranbir-Deepika starrer managed to mint only Rs 5.07 crore on Monday. Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted," #Tamasha Fri 10.94 cr, Sat 13.17 cr, Sun 14.12 cr, Mon 5.07 cr. Total: ₹ 43.30 cr. India biz."
So after a rather successful opening weekend, Tamasha has faltered on the first Monday. Trade pundits will keep a close on eye as to how the film performs in coming few days. Also, Zareen Khan, Daisy Shah, Sharman Joshi and Karan Singh Grover starrer Hate Story 3 is releasing this Friday. Will Tamasha hold its fort with Hate Story 3 raring to release at box office? Lets wait and watch.
