Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns has turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of this year at least till now. The romantic comedy which released last month became the first film of 2015 to enter the Rs 100 crore club and now its going to be the first on to surpass the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the update figures a while back. He wrote on the popular social networking site Twitter, "#TanuWedsManuReturns is nearing ₹ 150 cr in India. [Week 6] Fri 22 lacs, Sat 36 lacs, Sun 52 lacs. Total: ₹ 149.39 cr. India biz. ATBB."
While the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu continues to pull in crowd to the cinema halls, on other hand, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor's first outing together ABCD 2 has also stormed the box office. The dance film directed by Remo D'Souza hit the screens on June 19 and till now has collected Rs 88.91 crore at the domestic turf. And it won't be long before this dance flick touches the Rs 100 crore mark.
