Yes, the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu Returns is set to make few more box office records...
Aanand L Rai's directorial venture Tanu Weds Manu Returns is still going steady at the ticket windows despite being in its fourth week. Starring Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan in the lead, this romantic comedy is the first film of 2015 to enter the Rs 100 crore. And pretty soon it will also become the first film of this year to cross the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office. I say so because Tanu Weds Manu Returns has already raked in Rs 144.29 crore at the domestic turf. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the update figures a while back.
He wrote on the popular social networking site Twitter, "#TanuWedsManuReturns is racing towards 150 cr in India. This film is the BIGGEST success story in recent times... contd." And then Adarsh tweeted the box office collection of the film. He posted, "#TanuWedsManuReturns [Week 4] Fri 1.09 cr, Sat 1.75 cr, Sun 2.26 cr, Mon 85 lacs, Tue 85 lacs, Wed 80 lacs. Grand total - 144.29 cr. ATBB."
While Kangana and Madhavan starrer is still getting cash registers jingling, on the other hand, Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan's Hamari Adhuri Kahani has been struggling at the ticket windows. The intense love story directed by Mohit Suri has till now collected Rs 25.04 crore at the Indian BO.
