Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu's The Ghazi Attack released last Friday and it has had a mixed run at the box office till now. While the Telugu version has done well, the Hindi version has performed below par. But still, by the end of the first weekend, The Ghazi Attack has collected Rs 15.75 crore through the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi versions. Talking about the detailed collections, trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on Twitter that the movie has earned Rs 4.25 crore on Friday, Rs 5.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 6.25 crore on Sunday.
And as we told you, the Hindi version has been average as it collected only Rs 6.70 crore over the weekend. Talking about the detailed collection, Taran revealed on Twitter that The Ghazi Attack collected Rs 1.65 crore on Friday, Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.80 crore on Sunday through the Hindi version. While many will argue that the movie had a niche release, the trade had higher expectations from the film, not only because it was a Dharma movie but also coz it had Taapsee and Rana. At the theatres and on social media, a few people liked The Ghazi Attack, while few haven't. And while the critics have praised the movie, the film has not enjoyed a tremendous word of mouth publicity from the audience. In fact, Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 has been performing better over its second weekend (Rs 17.77 crore) than The Ghazi Attack.
For those of you who don't know, The Ghazi Attack is based on the mysterious sinking of Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi during Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Apart from Rana and Taapsee, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni are also a part of the movie.
