The film continues to impress one and all...
Neel Sethi's The Jungle Book continues its fabulous run at the domestic box office as it maintained a very good occupancy in its second week too. The film had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on the second Sunday and while people thought that the film will see a drop on Monday, the film continued to do well. The Jungle Book added Rs 5.02 crore on the second Wednesday to take its total collection to Rs 118.72 crore in 13 days.
As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed in his tweet, "#TheJungleBook [Week 2] Fri 8.02 cr, Sat 8.51 cr, Sun 10.67 cr, Mon 5.09 cr, Tue 6.37 cr, Wed 5.02 cr. Total: ₹ 118.72 cr nett. BLOCKBUSTER!"
The film has attained the blockbuster status after becoming the highest Hollywood grosser ever. And after it crosses the Rs 120 crore mark today, the film is all set to overtake Akshay Kumar's Airlift to become the HIGHEST grosser of 2016 till now. In fact, the film is going so strong that it has been able to do better business than the recently released, Fan starring Shah Rukh Khan. The second Wednesday collection of The Jungle Book was Rs 5.02 crore in comparison to Rs 4.20 crore collected by Fan on the first Wednesday. This is a HUGE thing and shows how powerful the film is!
