Thugs of Hindostan BEATS Fanaa and Taare Zameen Par to become Aamir Khan's 7th highest grosser

Despite disappointing us with its content, Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan has managed to register great collections at the box office due to the hype and buzz around it. In just two days, the action-adventure fantasy raked in Rs 81.50 crore and has surpassed the business of Taare Zameen Par (Rs 62.50 crore), Fanaa (Rs 52 crore) and Rang De Basanti (Rs 50 crore) to become the seventh highest grosser of her career.

Today, the film will enter the Rs 100 crore club and will become Aamir's sixth film to achieve that feat after Dangal, PK, Doom 3, 3 Idiots and Ghajini. Since the film has garnered negative reviews, we are expecting the film to witness a drastic dip in the weekdays from the film. Though the film will continue to earn money at the ticket windows since there are no big releases in the next two weeks.

Looking at the current scenario, we are expecting Thugs of Hindostan to earn around Rs 130 crore in its extended opening weekend, which will make it highest opening weekend grosser of the year surpassing Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju.
