Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu's October might not have gone on a record breaking run at the domestic box office, but the film has had a decent run over the first week. The Shoojit Sircar directorial has raked in Rs 27.99 crore in just 6 days and with that it has already entered the top 10 highest grossers of 2018. And with the film holding strong and still raking in the moolah, October is all set to cross the lifetime box office collection of Anushka Sharma's Pari in just one week. Surprised? Well don't be!
For those of you who don't know, Pari had a decent run at the domestic box office as it raked in Rs 28.96 crore from 1500 screens in its lifetime run. October, which has got 1683 screens, has raked in Rs 27.99 crore in just 6 days. With a projected day 7 collection of Rs 2.40 crore, Varun - Banita's film will have earned Rs 30.39 crore in the first week. That clearly means October will beat Pari's lifetime collection in just a week. But that's not it! October will also become the seventh highest box office grosser of 2018! This is a huge achievement considering the fact that it had a niche subject and got a limited screenspace.
