ADITYA SRIVASTAVA

Biography : Aditya Srivastava is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films, television, and theatre. He is best known for his role as Senior Inspector Abhijeet in India's longest-running television police procedural C.I.D.. He has also portrayed pivotal roles in the Bollywood films Satya, Gulaal, Lakshya, Paanch, Black Friday, Kaalo, Super 30, and Dil Se Pooch Kidhar Jana Hai. Srivastava was born on July 21, 1968, in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He graduated from the University of Allahabad with a degree in English literature. While pursuing his graduation, he also did theatre plays at Sangeet Samiti, Civil lines, Allahabad. In 1989, Srivastava moved to Delhi to pursue a career in acting. He was involved in mostly theatre work at Sri Ram Center Of Performing Arts. He got his first break in the movie Bandit Queen (1994), where he played Puttilal. After this, he moved to Mumbai in 1995. He did many voiceovers for promos and advertisements. He also played pivotal episodic roles in Byomkesh Bakshi, Rishtey, and Aahat. In 1997, Srivastava got his big break when he was cast as Senior Inspector Abhijeet in C.I.D. The show became a huge success and Srivastava went on to play the role for over 20 years. He is now one of the most recognizable faces on Indian television. In addition to his work in television, Srivastava has also appeared in several films. He has won critical acclaim for his performances in Satya (1998), Gulaal (2009), and Black Friday (2007). He was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Lakshya (2004). Srivastava is a versatile actor who has excelled in both television and film. He is a popular and respected figure in the Indian entertainment industry.
