Starting off with theatre, actor Arif Zakaria moved to television and films. He has worked in award-winning films like 1947 Earth, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: The forgotten hero, Hazaaron khwaishen aisi, My name is Khan, etc. But he is most remembered for his portrayal of Emmi Begum in Darmiyaan. He is also part of Merchants of Bollywood, a travelling musical show. He is also seen on TV in the serial Kaali – ek agnipariksha. His performance as the ghost in Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted was much appreciated. He will be soon seen in a forthcoming historical film.
