BOMAN IRANI

Biography : A film and theatre actor, a voice artist and a photographer, Boman Irani is the beloved Dr J. Asthana from Munnabhai MBBS. He won over the Indian audience with his comic roles and carved a niche for himself with his negative portrayals. Born and brought up in Mumbai, Boman worked at the Taj Mahal hotel as a waiter, at his family bakery and as a photographer before trying his luck at films. While doing theatre he was mentored by Alyque Padamsee. Boman’s most noteworthy play has been I am not Bajirao. In films, he gave a spate of hit performances in Lage raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots, Khosla ka Ghosla, Shirin Farhad ki toh nikal padi (lead role) and Jolly LLB. His upcoming movies include Happy New Year and PK. He is married to wife Zenobia and has two sons, Danesh and Kayoze.
