Britney Spears is a singer, entertainer and recording artist. She started her acting career as a child artist by featuring in television series and stage productions. She made her debut as a singer with the album Baby One More Time. The album was released in the year 1999 and was a smash hit, making Spears a popstar overnight. Her second album Oops!... I Did It Again (released in 2000) was another chartbuster. The two albums broke all previous records. Her subsequent albums were Britney and Blackout. Spears also acted in the comedy-drama road movie Crossroads, released in 2002. She has won a number of awards for her work including aGrammy Award, six MTV Video Music Awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award, nine Billboard Music Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was the judge in the second season of the American version of The X Factor.
