His rise to fame began in 1990, when he got a recurring role in a sketch comedy In Living Color. His first lead roles in a major production was with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Dumb and Dumber (1994), The Mask (1994), and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995). Some of his noteworthy performances include movies such as Liar Liar (1997), The Truman Show (1998) and Man on the Moon (1999), both of which gained him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
