KAUSHIK GANGULY

Biography : Kaushik Ganguly is a Bengali actor, screenwriter and director. While still at university, Ganguly formed his own theatre group and then started working as a screenwriter for Tollywood. In 1995, he directed telefilms such as Ushnatar Janye, Ulka and Aatithi. His first full-length feature film was Waarish (2004) starring Debasree Roy and Sabyasachi Chakrabarty. The movie did not fare well at the box office. He went on to direct other movies such as Apur Panchali, Ushnatar Janye, Brake Fail, Shunyo E Buke, Jackpot, Arekti Premer Golpo and Rang Milanti. His upcoming projects include Laptop. He received the Best Director award in 2013 at the IFFI Awards for his film Apur Panchali.
